Meet Abeona: Our 2021 Thor Challenger 37FH
We’re beyond excited to introduce you to the newest member of our family—Abeona, lovingly nicknamed “Abi”. This isn’t just any motorhome; Abi is our 2021 Thor Challenger 37FH, a rolling sanctuary designed for epic journeys, creative pursuits, and unforgettable memories. Named after the Roman goddess of safe travels, Abi is ready to take us wherever our hearts—and wanderlust—lead. Let’s dive into what makes Abi the ultimate adventure companion!
Inside Abi: Where Comfort Meets Creativity
Abi embodies both the excitement of exploration and the comforts of home. She stretches 38 feet in length, 8 feet wide, and 12.5 feet tall. When you step inside, you’re greeted with a spacious, open layout that feels more like a sticks and bricks than a motorhome. Thanks to the opposing full-wall slide-outs, our living area stretches out wide, perfect for both chilling after a day of exploration and brainstorming our next big adventure. Whether we’re unwinding by the electric fireplace or catching a movie on the 50” retractable TV, Abi provides comfort no matter where the road takes us. As important, Eli can set up her jewelry-making station by the window, soaking in the natural light and turning inspiration into stunning pieces, Ben and Sam have plenty of room to lounge, and I have space to dive into my Shakespearean scripts, research, and writing, turning the road into our creative haven on wheels!
Chef’s Corner: Cooking Up Adventures
Abi’s kitchen is a foodie’s dream come true! Whether we’re whipping up a gourmet meal inspired by local flavors or just making a quick snack before hitting the road, this kitchen has it all. The residential refrigerator keeps our goodies fresh, the three-burner gas cooktop is perfect for culinary experiments, and the pull-out pantry ensures we never run out of essentials. Plus, solid-surface countertops make clean-up a breeze—because who has time for scrubbing pots when there is theatre to see and trails to explore?
Adventure-Ready Outdoors: Let’s Get Exploring!
Abi isn’t just about comfy interiors; she’s built for adventure! With ample storage space, we can pack all our gear—from hiking boots and E-bikes to Eli’s jewelry supplies and my collection of Shakespearean tomes. Add our outdoor furniture, carpet, and bar-b-cue and we are ready to enjoy the beauty and solitude of America’s greatest National Parks from Arcadia to Bryce Canyon and beyond. Always a tinkerer, I have already upgraded the batteries to allow us to comfortably boondock anywhere our heart desires, so Abi is set to allow us to explore both nature’s wonders and cultural gems.
Sweet Dreams: Our Cozy Retreat
After a day full of adventures and creative pursuits, Abi’s master suite is the perfect place to unwind. The king-size Tilt-A-View bed lets us have a perfect night’s sleep, and with plenty of storage for all our “stuff”, we can keep our space clutter-free. We even have a full laundry to use as we travel. And with Abi’s 1.5 baths, there’s no more doing the “bathroom shuffle”—we’ve got enough space for everyone to answer nature’s call without the wait!
Power Under the Hood: A V8 Engine Built for Adventure
Abi is powered by a mighty Ford 7.3L V8 engine, delivering 350 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. Known as the “Godzilla” engine, this robust powerhouse provides all the muscle we need to tackle winding mountain roads, cruise along scenic highways, and handle long stretches with ease. The V8’s impressive strength is matched by smooth handling and stability with our added Safe-T Plus, making Abi as enjoyable to drive as she is comfortable to live in. And with the Ford F-53 chassis, she’s built tough for any road we decide to explore! With automatic leveling jacks, set-up at the campsite is straightforward and stress-free. Abi also features a touchscreen dashboard, rear and side-view cameras, and adjustable mirrors for a safe and enjoyable drive every time.

Even on the road, staying connected is a breeze with Abi’s Winegard ConnecT 2.0 system. Whether we’re sharing our latest jewelry designs on social media or streaming a Shakespearean play for some inspiration, reliable internet keeps us plugged in. And with multiple USB charging ports scattered throughout, our gadgets are always ready for action—no matter where we park Abi next!
Hitting the Road with our “Toad”
No adventure is complete without a trusty sidekick, and that’s where – our Toad comes in. We learned early in our RVing that a toad was essential to be able to get out and explore. After doing our research, we purchased a beautiful 2021 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and equipped it with a Tow Master Falcon towing system. Rugged, reliable, and always ready for action, our Jeep handles everything from rocky trails to back road and highways. And with space enough to haul gear and groceries, while allowing Ben and Sam room to enjoy the adventure with us.
